Umrao Jaan ki billi Nemo

Yes, Rekha Ji's Umrao Jaan is the OG and loved by everyone ( including me ). But I just can't get over this gorgeous blue outfit worn by Aishwarya... and then there's Nemo, my cousin's cat. Why is he here next to Umrao Jaan? Well... because when you see him walk, all you can say is subhanallah, kya adda hai! :D

My beautiful son, Peter <3

My son Peter sits on top of a vintage radio because we love listening to old Bollywood songs together. Yaadon ki baaraat is our favourite. A single gulab rests nearby, because roses always fill our home and my room ( his home and room.... he is the owner of everything let's be real here ). This is our safe haven.

The beauty of culture

Anar holds deep significance in India, appearing in religious rituals, traditional art, and folklore. Gulab and saffron are both remedies for the heart and symbols of beauty and warmth. And the Mogra gajra, it reminds me of my mother and grandmother + red bangles of newlyweds and beautiful mehendi designs. Remember - darker the mehendi, the deeper your lover's love ;) Our beautiful Indian culture so deeply rooted in us.

Mere liye sitare aur chaand sab Katrina Kaif hain

The Urdu lines read as " Yeh ho sakta hai ki tum kisi sitare ka kwaab dekho, jabki Allah ne tumhare liye chaand likh rakha ho " <3
And to be honest, my title is quite self explanatory :)

The roots from which my chai is brewed

India, Afghanistan and Iran - cultures whose chai traditions are profoundly rich. I like to think of myself as a true tea connoisseur. In this illustration you see three iconic chai's from the regions: Iranian black tea in a traditional estekan glass, Indian masala kulhad chai, and Afghani qaimaq chai.
